Cardinals Add Instant Starters in Two-Round Mock Draft

The Arizona Cardinals added three starters in two rounds of this mock draft.
In this story:

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals will have plentiful options at their disposal when the 2024 NFL Draft gets underway.

With plenty of gaps in the roster and bountiful picks to add franchise players, potential certainly exists for the team to continue building on what was already a strong start to their rebuild under the guidance of Monti Ossenfort and Jonathan Gannon.

Still - there's work to do, and the Cardinals find themselves in a pivotal position with free agency beginning next week and the draft under two months away.

With two first-round picks and a selection early in the second, Arizona will be primed to add instant-impact players for now and tomorrow.

Utilizing Pro Football Focus' mock draft machine - which took an unexpected turn from the very first pick - we evaluate options for Arizona's top three picks before bringing home what we believe to be a solid (and definitely unrealistic) draft haul:

Trading down is certainly an option for Arizona, regardless of who is on the board.

“I would expect them to trade the pick,” One league executive told The Athletic.

“Look at how they moved back last year, and then the fact that this is going to be an attractive spot because it allows someone to come up from a distance to get the player they want.”

While we didn't move down in this mock draft, we're still pretty stoked with the three players we added.
