The Arizona Cardinals weren't quite able to walk away with a win last week, though fans should feel encouraged moving forward.

The Jonathan Gannon era is officially here, and the Cardinals appear to have more energy under the new coaching staff - though that wasn't enough in a 20-16 loss to the Washington Commanders.

Wins and losses won't ultimately judge the beginning of this rebuild, so long as Arizona sees their players progress from Weeks 1-18.

With the New York Giants ahead, All Cardinals' Donnie Druin and Richie Bradshaw take a moment to recap the game vs. Washington while feeling positive about the overall outlook of the team:

1:30: Initial thoughts vs. Washington
6:53: How the Offense Played
12:58 How the Defense Played
20:10 Final Thoughts

Looking ahead to Week 2, the Cardinals are 5.5-point underdogs to the New York Giants, who were just recently embarrassed in a 40-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Can the Cardinals protect the nest and get their first win of the Jonathan Gannon era?
