Reacting to Cardinals First Day of Free Agency
ARIZONA -- The dust has officially settled on the Arizona Cardinals' first day of free agency, and the team was unable to snag any of their big name targets such as Christian Wilkins.
Still, general manager Monti Ossenfort was active, signing four fresh faces in Mack Wilson, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Bilal Nichols and Justin Jones.
What's to be expected out of the four new arrivals, and should Cardinals fans be excited or disappointed?
Reacting to Cardinals First Day of Free Agency
The Cardinals arrived to free agency with over $50 million in cap space. Today, they also signed DeeJay Dallas to their squad.
Arizona was favored to address positions such as defensive line, corner and linebacker with some of their massive salary space.
They managed to do exactly that.
The Cardinals aren't done adding talent, however. There's still more waves of free agency on top of the 2024 NFL Draft, where Arizona will have ten picks - with six coming in the first three rounds.
Arizona didn't grab any players that will sell jerseys, nor any "needle-movers", though Gannon and Ossenfort had a clear vision that they've already executed.
The Cardinals thus far have also reportedly re-signed players such as Jesse Luketa, Trystan Colon, Carter O'Donnell, Blake Gillikin, Greg Dortch and Krys Barnes.
