The 6'6", 236-pound Pro Bowler had been enjoying a solid season statistically, though some decidedly un-clutch fourth quarter moments have led many to question just where he ranks among the top signal callers in the modern game. For the year, he's passed for 3,134 yards (ninth-most in the NFL) and 20 touchdowns (tied for eighth-most in the league), and his 63.7 quarterback rating is good for fifth.
Against Denver, Herbert connected on 9-of-17 shooting for 96 yards, notching one interception, four sacks and no touchdowns. He recorded a miserable 1.5 quarterback rating, although to be fair he departed the game for good early due to the finger fracture.
