Forget Colston Loveland...Chargers should look at this other Michigan standout

Jim Harbaugh will look to bring in talent that he's coached before, there's no denying that. In his first draft with the Los Angeles Chargers, Harbaugh added Junior Colson and Cornelius Johnson, whom he coached at Michigan.
He has intel on his former Michigan players that not many around the league do, meaning the Chargers have an upper hand in that area. The one player who's been seemingly linked to the Chargers this offseason in most mock drafts has been Colston Loveland, one of the top tight end prospects coming out. Loveland has emerged as a true threat in Michigan's offense, one that would help the Chargers tremendously.

However, there's another player on Michigan other than Loveland that should be on the Chargers' radar. Meet Josaiah Stewart, a dominant edge rusher that has gone underrated thus far and could become useful for Jesse Minter's system.

With Khalil Mack set to hit free agency and Joey Bosa's future with the team in limbo, the Chargers could be in the market to look toward the future of their pass rush. Stewart spent his first two years in college at Coastal Carolina before transferring to Michigan in 2023. He had 8.5 sacks in 2024 for the Wolverines, being apart of a dominant defensive line that included Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, two players that are being touted as first round picks.
Adding Stewart to the mix for the Chargers could be looked at as a steal.
