Adam Schefter floats Chargers as landing spot for recently released WR
The Los Angeles Chargers have a chance to clinch a playoff spot while watching from home on Sunday. The team did its job with a win over the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. With thoughts of a postseason run on the mind of the franchise, it may be time for the front office to look at free agency for any chance to add depth to the roster.
One position that the Chargers are in need of finding depth is at wide receiver. Rookie Ladd McConkey has been a nice addition. However, this team is still in need of a deep threat and may have their answer in a recently released Baltimore Ravens receiver.
NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that Diontae Johnson could likely land with the Chargers or the Kansas City Chiefs when he hits the wavier wire on Monday. However, Schefter also mentions in his tweet that those destinations are only if Johnson even makes it that far down the list of teams on the waiver wire.

Johnson is a former Pro Bowler. However, his 2024 season has been one of uncertainty. The former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver started this season in Carolina with the Panthers, and later a move to Baltimore. However, it now seems that Johnson is ready for yet another fresh start this season.
