The draft buzz is heating up, especially for your Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers hold the 21st overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft and have many options to go after. LA could use some running back depth, considering the Austin Ekeler fiasco, or they could use that pick on a defensive player.

We don't know, and there's a chance the Chargers don't know what to do with that pick, either. In the LA Times' latest mock draft, staff writer Sam Farmer knows precisely what the Bolts will do.

Farmer believes the Bolts will choose the tight end out of Utah, Dalton Kincaid.

21. Chargers: TE Dalton Kincaid, Utah — Chargers could go lots of directions — running back would be a fit too — but a tight end or receiver would be a nice gift for Justin Herbert.

Kincaid is a senior out of Las Vegas and has attended the University of Utah for the past three seasons. Kincaid's stock sky-rocketed after a phenomenal fifth-year senior season in 2022. The 23-year-old played in 12 games and had 70 catches, resulting in 890 yards for an average of 12.7 yards per catch and 8 touchdowns.

The Utah tight end has an overall rating of 87 out of 100, according to NFL draft buzz, and is the #38 overall rank and number three in the position rank.

The 6'4 tight end has been compared to a receiver by scouts and is explosive off the line. Kincaid has a basketball background, as many football players do, and because of that, he has smoothness and balance.

If the Chargers land Dalton, the tight end room will be more competitive if it's not with the rookie.
