Chargers Injury Report: Bears Downgrade OL Ahead Of Must-Win LA Game
Your 2-4 Los Angeles Chargers have received some lucky injury news ahead of their matchup against the 2-5 Chicago Bears this evening.
Per the Bears' PR department, offensive lineman Lucas Patrick has seen his status for the club's Sunday night matchup demoted to questionable.
The 30-year-old guard out of Duke is dealing with a back ailment. NBC Sports Chicago writes that the 6'3", 313-pound guard that Cody Whitehair or technical rookie Doug Kramer could sub in for Patrick at center, where he would have been snapping to Justin Fields' understudy, undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent.
Bagent was under center for Chicago's surprise 30-12 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders notched 245 yards, including one touchdown and one interception.
Fields, who in fairness has been awful during his third pro season out of Ohio State University, will remain sidelined for the second straight weekend.
The 6'3", 227-pound Fields, who while in college was a two-time Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year, a two-time Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year, a two-time First-Team All-Big Ten honoree, and finally an All-American Second-Teamer, is logging a miseable 38.5 quarterback rating this season.
