Chargers News: Bill Belichick Reacts to Keenan Allen's Injury
Throughout his coaching career, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has always been very well reserved and dull at the podium, but he will once in a while give an answer that will leave reporters filled with laughs.
Today, Belichick was in his rare humorous form as he told reporters that he would be okay with a Chargers decision to bench five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen this Sunday.
While Belichick has always appeared to look like one of the more grumpier faces in the NFL, he has always had his moments where he lets his personality show a little bit.
During the days of Chad Ochocinco playing wide receiver for the Cincinatti Bengals, a clip went viral of him and Belichick in which he informed Ochocinco that they have a call designated to double team him throughout the game.
Right now, the Patriots are having their worst season yet with Belichick as the coach as they have just two wins on the year for the first time in franchise history since 1992 finishing 2-14, it's nice to see Belichick is still having fun during a miserable time.
To his Belichick's credit, Allen has been one of the most dominant receivers this year as he is leading the NFL in receptions (97) and rallying in seven touchdowns for 1117 yards and having 18 plays for over 20 yards.
Allen has been on the injury report for the Chargers over the last three weeks as he has been dealing with a shoulder injury for the first two and now a quadricep injury.
