Chargers News: Pair of Bolts Inch Closer to Returning From PUP List
The Chargers have opened the 21-day activation window for wide receiver Jalen Guyton and defensive lineman Otito Ogbonnia.
Guyton has yet to play since Week 3 of 2022 after tearing his ACL against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 26-year-old has been a solid piece for the Bolts before his injury as he's collected 61 receptions, 1023 yards, and six touchdowns in 38 games.
He will certainly bring a punch to the wide receiver room, which is missing their number two guy in Mike Williams. It's still not certain when he will come back, but LA could use him this season whenever he's ready.
As for Ogbonnia, he's been absent since November 2022 and missed the season due to a quad injury. The 23-year-old had a solid rookie campaign; in seven games, he recorded 13 solo tackles, one assist tackle, and one tackle for loss.
His presence will provide some solid depth in the nose tackle position, and with the way the Chargers defensive line has performed, they could use all the help they could get.
The Chargers have been hindered by injuries all season long, scratch that, for the past handful of seasons. It'll be nice to get a healthy team by the time we hit the middle of the season and have it remain that way all throughout.
