Chargers Injury Report: 1 Key Starter Out, 3 Bolts Limited In Thursday Practice

The latest from today's LA workout.

Four of your Los Angeles Chargers were injured enough to need to at least limit their practice reps today, per LA's latest injury report

Starting tight end Gerald Everett, who sat out Wednesday's team workout with a lingering hip injury, got limited run in today, in a bit of positive news. He remains questionable ahead of Sunday's semi-must-win matchup against the dismal Chicago Bears. Safety Alohi Gilman, grappling with a heel ailment, has been limited both Wednesday and today.

Defensive back Deane Leonard was limited Thursday with a hamstring issue for the second consecutive practice.

Wide receiver Joshua Palmer has missed the past two practices entirely with a knee injury. This is a huge bummer, as the 6'1" Tennessee product had notched a career-most 133 receiving yards, on 5-of-7 catching, during LA's 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Los Angeles can ill afford to miss more wideouts, thanks to Mike Williams' season-ending ACL surgery this week. The Chargers would lean more on Quentin Johnston against Chicago, alongside No. 1 WR Keenan Allen, of course.

Perhaps most critically for the Bolts, starting quarterback Justin Herbert has continued to play through his left finger fracture with no restrictions in both the club's practices this week.

Among the other listed Bolts playing through injuries with no limitations today were running back Austin Ekeler (ankle), receiver Jalen Guyton (knee -- he had been limited on Wednesday, but was a full participant today), defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day (knee), linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (groin), lineman Otito Ogbonnia (knee), and tackles Trey Pipkins III (ankle) and Rashawn Slater (shoulder).
