Chargers News: Watch Joshua Kelley Score Critical Game-Tying TD Against Chiefs

The embattled running back is having himself a game.
In this story:

Los Angeles Chargers running back Joshua Kelley just notched a critical game-tying 49-yard touchdown against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to knot up the contest early in the contest's second quarter, 10-10.

Here's that run:

Kelley has had a disappointing season thus far for the Bolts, so it's nice to see him find a rhythm during a pretty darn crucial bout.

The 5'11", 212-pound vet out of UCLA, expected to take a leap this year after missing a big chunk of a promising 2022 season with a sprained MCL, has instead struggled. Heading into the game, Kelley had been having a rough 2023 season. He had notched a total of 209 yards across 58 carries (averaging a modest 3.6 rushing yards per) and just one touchdown across five prior contests for the Bolts.

Does this sudden outburst mean you should pick him up off the waiver wire scrap heap in your fantasy football leagues posthaste? Yes, at least on a flyer ahead of next week's contest against the lowly Chicago Bears. But after that, let's see how he performs against the intimidating defense of the Aaron Rodgers-less New York Jets on November 6th, before making any kind of long-term commitment.
