The Los Angeles Chargers filled some holes on their roster via the NFL Draft. The team did an outstanding job of getting the necessary positions; however, the Bolts still lack the safety position.

There are plenty of options they can go for if they choose to, but none may be better than safety John Johnson III. Johnson is still a free agent and is already familiar with the city of Los Angeles. He seems to be still infatuated with the city, as he tweeted showed love to LA"s basketball team, Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers are in the second round of the NBA playoffs and defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 1, and Johnson loved what he saw from the purple and gold.

The Chargers have been linked to the safety when free agency opened, but nothing has gotten further than that. Charger fans know they need a safety and are doing their best to recruit the 27-year-old.

Johnson III spent his first four seasons in Los Angeles as a Ram. He left LA after that and has been with the Cleveland Browns. He's now a free agent and now is a better time than any to sign with the Bolts.

He would be back to the city that drafted him; the team needs a safety, his old defensive coordinator, Brandon Staley, is leading this team, and he could show his Laker show in LA instead of another city.

Everything seems to fit; we'll see if a deal gets done.
