Chargers Brace For Challenge Of Handling Travis Kelce... And Taylor Swift

They have to find a way to slow him down at a minimum...
In this story:

As your Los Angeles Chargers prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs today, they know it will be a battle. With the game being in Arrowhead Stadium, LA knows they will be dealing with a hostile environment both on and off the field.

And no, they aren't too worried about whether or not Taylor Swift will show up.

But rather, the guy she has been around with lately, tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce is arguably the best tight end in football, and he consistently creates problems for the Bolts whenever they match up against one another.

"Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce leads all tight ends in football with 346 receiving yards, as he's played in five out of the Chiefs' first six games. He continues to be quarterback Patrick Mahomes' favorite target, leading Kansas City in receptions, targets and yards once again."

LA knows that in order to win the game, they are going to need to at least slow him down a little. Head coach Brandon Staley gave his thoughts on Kelce and praised the tight end in the process.

"He does everything at such a premium level as a receiver," Staley said. "I think what's tough is just the chemistry that him and Pat have. No matter what the coverage is, man or zone, pattern-match zone, doesn't matter, he's just got an outstanding feel of how to attack and beat leverage."

Kelce has the ability to be a complete game-changer, and he can make life tough for the Bolts. He has craved out a role for himself over the years, and his ability to find open space within the field has made him great.

Chargers safety Derwin James Jr. spoke on what makes Kelce such a tough matchup.

"I would say his ability to get open," James said about Kelce on Wednesday. "He's always finding his way to get open, yards after the catch he's one of the best at doing that."

LA has a tall task ahead of them, but they embrace it completely. They know what is at stake within this game, and they want to do everything in their power to right the ship.
