The Los Angeles Chargers are set for the 2023 season, and the final step was the roster cuts made today.

The roster was trimmed down in a big way, as the team cut 35 players and placed two on the physically unable to perform list (PUP). There were some surprises on who made the team and who didn't.

Fans weren't shy in expressing their feelings on the situation and didn't hold back on what they liked and disliked.

A lot of likes and dislikes, as you can tell. The International Player Pathway CJ Okoye is the one player who never had the chance to make the team but quickly became a favorite. This was Okoye's first time playing the game of football, and he made an impact getting his first sack in his debut.

Another notable surprise was in the offensive line, with LA choosing Brenden Jaimes over Zack Bailey, who had himself a great preseason. Undrafted rookie safety A.J. Finley also made the team from Ole Miss over their 2021 seventh-round pick Mark Webb. The one last surprise many fans are happy with is undrafted running back Elijah Dotson making the team. The running back room is now at four compared to the usual three LA went with last season.

On top of that, LA decided to go with five wide receivers when many suspected they could go with six.

The roster is set, the team is ready, the fans are ready, and we can't wait to see these 53 men do their part in helping bring the Chargers a chip.
