Charger Starters Reflect on Standings as Bye Week Approaches
Week 5 is upon us, Charger fans, but unfortunately for you guys, there will be no Charger football.
This is the earliest any NFL team will have their bye, and although it's not ideal, it might be just what the doctor ordered for LA. Many of their top guys, including Austin Ekeler, have missed some time, and this week will be great to ramp him up for next week.
That is a big part of why the Bolts sit at 2-2 (among other reasons), and this week will give them time to reflect on what to improve on. There are those who are saying to themselves, "How the heck are the Chargers 2-2?" others think the same thing but with a different tone, "How the heck are the Chargers 2-2?" LA could easily be 4-0 or 0-4, so many Charger fans would take that, considering how all four games have shaken up.
Many Charger players are viewing it as a glass half full, like their defensive lineman Morgan Fox, who said they'll look to build off their two-game winning steak.
“Coming out 2-2 after you started 0-2 is huge,” defensive lineman Morgan Fox said. “Next we have Dallas, and they’re a really good team. We’re going to have to get our minds right and be ready to go.”

Chargers young cornerback, Asante Samuel, doesn't like where they're at but likes where they're heading.
“It’s not where we wanted to be,” cornerback
Asante Samuel Jr.
said, “but we’re trending in the right direction.”

Through four games, the Chargers season has been one intense roller coaster. Sometimes, it feels like the sky is falling; other times, it feels like the Bolts have hit their stride. Chargers veteran linebacker Eri Kendricks is no stranger to the ups and downs of the seaosn and says they have a better understanding of who they are.
“The start of the season can be tough because everyone is still sorting things out,” linebacker Eric Kendricks said. “Now, we have a better idea of who we are. But we need to keep getting better. There are a lot of challenges ahead.”

We have 13 games ahead of us, Charger fans. LA may have found something in their two-game winning streak, and hopefully, they come out the bye looking like the team we all hoped they'd be.
