The NFL draft is a month away, and your Los Angeles Chargers could be looking for some reassurance in the backfield. The Austin Ekeler situation holds a huge dark cloud over their heads, but they'll look to bring in a rookie.

There are plenty of routes that the Bolts can go towards; however, one of the draft prospects could be more appealing than others. Running back from Kansas State, Deuce Vaughn has gained some traction because of his similar frame to former Chargers running back Darren Sproles.

Sports media personality Adam Kay spoke very highly of Vaughn and said he models his game after the speedy Sproles.

In three seasons in Kanasa State, the 5'5 prospects totaled 3604 rushing yards, 4884 scrimmage yards, and 43 total touchdowns in 651 attempts and 37 games.

The Texas native made an immediate impact for the Wildcats as he received Freshman All-American honors and the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year award. He finished his time at Kansas State, earning first-team AP All-American honors as an all-purpose player and second-team All-Big 12 Conference as a running back.

The Chargers are no stranger to a player with that size and similar ability. Vaughn played in one of the best college football conferences and even balled out against Alabama in the Cotton Bowl. He had 133 yards in 22 attempts and even exploded for an 88-yard run touchdown.

If you can ball, you can ball, and we'll see if the Chargers or any team will take a chance on the all-purpose back.
