Chargers Hoping To Move On From Broncos Blowout Quickly With Raiders Impending
The frustrating 2023 season for the Los Angeles Chargers continued this past weekend with their loss to the Denver Broncos. The final score was 24-7, in what was another poor offensive showing.
Adding insult to injury was the fact that star quarterback Justin Herbert left the game with an injury. It was revealed after the fact that he had a fractured index finger, and his return is unknown for the rest of the season.
The Chargers record dropped down to 5-8 on the season and their playoff hopes took a massive hit. It's unlikely that they will reach the postseason, but they are trying to look ahead.
LA has a matchup this coming Thursday against the Las Vegas Raiders. They don't have time to dwell on the game against Denver and are hoping to move forward.
“We’ve got a game in less than three days,” Chargers safety Derwin James Jr. said, referring to Thursday night’s game against the Raiders in Las Vegas. “So, it’ll take that long to get ready. Vegas isn’t waiting on us. … Keep going, don’t lay down, don’t quit, keep going, keep fighting.

With the Raiders game coming up, LA needs to re-group themselves quickly. If they want to stay alive in the playoff race, they have to take down Las Vegas in this game.
It won't be easy, especially without Herbert. But the Bolts are determined to finish the year strong, even if it means hurting their draft position in the process.
