Missing practices earlier in the week, three important pieces to the Chargers are at risk of being unable to play in their week two contest.

On the road against the Titans this Sunday, the Bolts could be without some stars on both sides of the ball in a matchup they can't afford to lose to start 2023 with an 0-2 record.

Already starting off on the wrong foot, the Bolts' defense may have gotten even thinner with a report that their best edge rusher and best linebacker are both in jeopardy of missing Sunday's tilt in Tennessee.

On the offensive side of the ball, touchdown magnet Austin Ekeler's ankle may prevent his participation in the game as well, making victory a whole lot tougher for Los Angeles.

Even though Joey Bosa and the rest of the defense failed to register a sack against Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins, Brandon Staley's defense would not be complete without his efforts.

The same goes for Eric Kendricks who was brought in as a free agent to shore up the middle of the field.

Though Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and others continued to find open space in the middle of the field and down the sidelines, Kendricks' own absence would make the issue a bigger concern even against a less talented Titans' receiving corps.

For Ekeler, Joshua Kelley performed admirably as the lead back when his teammate suffered his ankle injury, but the UCLA product may struggle in an expanded role on Sunday.

Overall, it looks like Justin Herbert will need to carry the offensive load in what could be a shootout between Derrick Henry and LA's own unit.

Keeping DeAndre Hopkins in check presses another challenge for a struggling Chargers secondary, but they'll have no choice if they want to get in the win column this weekend.
