Chargers Injury News: All-Pro Receiver's Status Uncertain Against LA in Week 2

Both teams likely won't be at full strength.

Though the Bolts are dealing with significant injuries to their starting lineup, the struggling secondary that plagued LA in Week 1 may have some relief of their own.

The top target for their Week 2 opponent has popped up on the injury report and the Titans could be without the services of DeAndre Hopkins with both teams itching for a win.

"Just trying to get my body ready to go if I’m up Sunday," Hopkins said. "That’s kind of a day-to-day process. We shall see. I haven’t been here to make those decisions. I haven’t been in that scenario so I’m not sure how it goes. But I’ll be prepared if my number’s up."

As the Titans' leading receiver last Sunday, his quarterback in Ryan Tannehill consistently found the recently signed free agent open in swathes of space, as Hopkins finished with seven catches for 65 yards in his debut.

Without Hopkins available, the Chargers secondary could feast on a turnover prone unit as Tannehill threw three picks with under 200 yards, costing his team victory in New Orleans for Week 1.

It'll be great relief for the defensive backs in LA after surrendering over 450 yards through the air to Tyreek Hill and company as the lead receiver for Miami finished with over 200 yards receiving on his own.

Though many suitors were rumored for the former All-Pro, Hopkins chose the Titans after his release from the Cardinals.

Signing a two year deal in the offseason, the former Clemson first round pick is back in the AFC South after making a name for himself as a Houston Texan for the first portion of his career.

Traded to Arizona, his exit was well documented, but his home debut with the Titans may have to wait, much to the benefit of the visiting Chargers this weekend.
