Chargers Injury Report: Brandon Staley Provides Optimistic Update On Corey Linsley's Heart Issues

We hope to see the veteran center back out there soon
In this story:

The Los Angeles Chargers have been ailed with injuries through the 2023 season. Some have, fortunately, not been significant, and others have; that's just the nature of the NFL.

However, other injuries have been significant for different reasons, like Bolts center Corey Linsley. Linsley has missed a better part of the season as he is dealing with heart issues, causing him to go on the injured reserve.

Although there is no timetable on his return, head coach Brandon Staley provided some reassuring news on the veteran center.

"He's in a good place mentally, and he's doing a heck of a job helping our team out in a new way."

Backup center Will Clapp has been taking over duties in the center role, and he's been OK for the most part. Still, it's always great to have your No. 1 option out there, and hopefully, that's the case soon.

Heart issues are no joke, and even though the severity of the issue is unknown, you could never be too sure. Linsley has been on the injured reserve for about a month now, and even though his time could technically be up on it, there is still no telling when he will be back.

His presence is missed, and we all cannot wait to see the 32-year-old back at the center position as he helps lead the Bolts and quarterback Justin Herbert to big wins as the season winds down.

Nonetheless, it's great to hear that Corey is doing better.
