Chargers Injury Report: Jaylen Guyton Officially Ruled Out
The injury bug just keeps coming after the Los Angeles Chargers offensive attack. Tight end Gerald Everett was the first to be ruled out earlier this week, and now the Bolts will be without Jaylen Guyton, who is suffering from a groin injury.
Guyton had just returned to action during Week 9 when the Chargers took on the New York Jets. The game went about as good as it could have gone for the Bolts, who kept the Jets from scoring a TD.
Guyton was relatively quiet in this game, being targeted twice, but not hauling in any catches.
Guyton returned to better form in Week 10 when the Chargers dropped a close one to the Detroit Lions. Guyton hauled in 41 yards and 1 TD. This was his first TD since tearing his ACL in 2022.
Though his recovery kept him out of action until Week 9, Guyton will not be suiting up today against the Packers.
Guyton was kept out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday, he was kept at a limited participant, though he is now ruled out. The Chargers are likely trying to keep him safe from making his groin injury worse.
The Chargers could be in some trouble should Keenan Allen injure his shoulder further. Though he confirmed he is playing today, one move could cause him to exit, leaving the offense sparse without Allen, Guyton, and Everett.
