Chargers Injury Report: Joey Bosa Exits Game Limping
In the first quarter of your Los Angeles Chargers' ongoing game against the Green Bay Packers, one of LA's worst fears took place.
Star LA defensive end Joey Bosa came up limping on a play, per Fernando Ramirez of The Sporting Tribune, collapsed on the sidelines, and eventually had to be carted off the field.
Bosa is questionable to return with a foot injury it seems, per Jeff Miller of The Los Angeles Times.
He headed to the locker room on a cart and appeared to be crying into a towel, according to Kris Rhim of ESPN. This could be a season-ending injury, which would be terrible news for the Bolts the rest of the way.
If this is season-ending, it would be a massive blow to the Chargers defense the rest of the season. Bosa has been one of their better players all year long, and their defense already had seen issues with him in the lineup.
On the year, Bosa has put up 20 combined tackles and 6.5 sacks. He has been one of the more productive members of this defense, and his loss will have a big impact.
Teams will now be able to double-team someone like Khalil Mack, making life even harder for this Bolts defensive unit. Rookie Tuli Tuipulotu will need to step up even more if Bosa is indeed out for the season, and the Chargers chances to make the playoffs may have taken another hit.
It has been a frustrating year all around for this organization, and this could be the final blow to the team. They can still have success without Bosa, but it's a shame that he worked so hard to come back from injury last year, to have this happen again.
We wish him all the best, and hope we get to see him on the field again this season!
