The Los Angeles Chargers are taking on the rising Detroit Lions this weekend from Sofi Stadium, and this game will be huge for the Bolts. After getting their record back to .500, they get a solid test against one of the best teams in the NFC.

The Lions do pose some challenges for the Chargers, specifically on the defensive side of the ball due to their high-powered offensive attack. Detroit is a very physical team, and they like to wear teams down as the game goes on.

The Bolts defense will need to really step up in this one if they want any chance of coming out on top. Defensive edge Joey Bosa has been on a tear lately, and it has helped lead the Chargers to playing much better football lately.

He was practicing with the team on Friday but was battling an illness as well. The hope is that he will still be able to go on Sunday, and the team needs him out there against the Lions.

Bosa has been massive for the Chargers this season, so if he can't go, it would be a major disadvantage for their defense. His ability to get into the backfield forces opposing teams to double-team him, allowing for others to freely have space to rush the quarterback.

Hopefully, he can get over the illness soon and return to full health. But it is a good sign that he was practicing, even if it wasn't at full capacity.

Bosa knows how big of a game this weekend is for the Chargers momentum, so unless he really can't go, I'm sure he will give it a shot. They have a chance to make this a turning point in the year, so they need to take advantage of the situation.
