Chargers Injury Report: Packers Down To 1 Available RB After Rookie Emanuel Wilson Hurt
Despite their ongoing game against your Los Angeles Chargers being tied 10-10 at the break, the Green Bay Packers couldn't seem to avoid the injury bug in the contest's opening half.
With less than a minute remaining in the second quarter, rookie running back Emanuel Wilson suffered an apparent lower body injury despite seeing just incidental contact from Bolts defenders.
Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports that, with veteran Aaron Jones having just been carted off the field, the Packers are now down to just one healthy running back for the second half (assuming no one can come back).
Green Bay was forced to burn a timeout as medical staffers attended to a sitting Wilson. He, too, was eventually carted off.
A.J. Dillon, a six-foot, 247-pound Boston College product selected with the NO. 62 pick overall in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft, is currently the last healthy Packers running back... for now.
The 25-year-old has notched 103 carries for 376 total yards and one touchdown thus far in 2023, averaging a fairly modest 3.7 yards per carry. He'll have to ramp up that production now for Green Bay to have any sort of run game down the stretch here.
