The NFL's preseason games are not set to kick off until August this season and that is still about four months away. However, fans of the Los Angeles Chargers can watch Justin Herbert compete next month... just not on the football field.

CBS Network is launching a fishing tournament called 'The Catch' that will feature some fan favorites from the NFL. It will take place on April 15 on Miami Beach and will see Herbert face off against Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs and A.J. Brown.

It has been well-documented that Herbert has had a deep love for fishing all of his life. He was actually the president of the fishing club in his high school and has carried that passion into his adulthood.

Since his rookie season, Herbert has bonded with multiple teammates and opposing players around the league and gone on fishing trips with them. Fans have paid close attention to this aspect of his life and even found old pictures of him that represent how much he's invested into the hobby.

It's always great getting to watch our superstars take part in various activities outside of just playing football. It allows them to connect with the rest of the world and also showcase they personality on a different level. Even though we all are excited to see how Herbert will lead us to greatness in the 2023 season, we are also hoping he wins this tournament with ease.
