The Los Angeles Chargers have added more to their defense, bringing in a familiar addition. Los Angeles has agreed to a one-year deal that is worth $3 million with former Houston Texans linebacker Denzel Perryman.

Perryman spent six years with the Chargers after the team took him in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The team had a need at the linebacker position with Kenneth Murray heading to the Tennessee Titans and L.A. releasing Eric Kendricks

He left the Bolts in free agency, heading to the Carolina Panthers. Perryman was traded to the Chargers' division rival, Las Vegas Raiders. He had his best career season, racking up 154 combined tackles in 15 games, earning his first-career Pro Bowl selection in 2021.

The veteran signed with the Texans last season, posting 76 tackles and 0.5 sacks in 12 games. He brings plenty of experience to the table with him and the Bolts should benefit from having him back on the roster.
