Chargers News: A Special Guest Will Accompany Jim Harbaugh To Second LA Interview
On Tuesday, your Los Angeles Chargers will meet with University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh for their second interview for their head coach vacancy. This could be the last team they meet before a deal gets done, and by all accounts, a deal will get done.
Nothing is set in stone, but the pieces seem to be in place, and all the people who matter will be there. According to The Wolverines Magazine's Chris Balas, Harbaugh's wife, Sarah, accompanied him on his trip for his second interview.
The Chargers are favored to land Harbaugh, and a deal could get done as early as today. The return of Harbaugh to the NFL is inevitable, and he will likely bring his coaching talents back to Southern California.
Harbaugh is far too familiar with the California scene as he was the head coach for the San Diego Toreros from 2004-2006. Afterward, he headed to Northern California and coached the Stanford Cardinal from 2007-2010. Then he took his talents to the NFL but stayed in NorCal to coach the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, and for the past nine years, he was at his alma mater, Michigan, where he recently led them to a national championship.
Harbaugh has done it all and on every level. He will likely challenge himself again and try to turn around the Bolts like he did with Stanford, the 49ers, and Michigan. It's time for another go in the NFL.
