Chargers News: All-Pro Defender Acknowledges LA Is Upset With Record

Better days should be ahead for the Chargers...
In this story:

The Chargers are 2-4 heading into their Week 8 matchup against the Chicago Bears.

After entering the year hopeful to challenge for their division, now they are looking to just make a Wild Card spot for this year's playoffs.

Everyone around the Chargers organization knows they need to turn it around and they know they are capable, they just need to stick to their gameplan. Eric Kendricks revealed the plan to rebound to Jeff Miller of The Los Angeles Times.

“Everyone’s very passionate and very frustrated,” linebacker

Eric Kendricks

said. “But you can’t be too emotional in this game because that will take over. You gotta stay in that middle ground and trust your preparation.”

Staying in the middle ground has been a tough ask, especially for the defense who have made many mental errors causing penalties, especially on third down.

This is a talented Chargers team. Every single one of their games has ended in a one-possession final, except their most recent match against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The team has dealt with plenty of injuries throughout the year already. Kendricks missed two games following the team's Week 1 loss against the Miami Dolphins.

Eventually, the team will get healthier or players will step up in big moments. The tides will hopefully change and push the Chargers into the winning category for some of these one-possession games.

That shift in tides can happen this Sunday against the Chicago Bears who were already expected to be without the dynamic quarterback Justin Fields, but the team will also be missing their promising young safety, Jaquan Brisker, due to an illness.

If there were ever a week for the Chargers to start a winning streak, it would be this one.
