The Los Angeles Chargers 2023 season is slowly approaching, and fans, the team, and players are excited to get it done. There will be a ton of high expectations for the Bolts, and they must be ready for that. There's a ton to be excited about, and a lot of it has to do with the return of running back Austin Ekeler

We learned earlier this week that Eekler will be here to stay, at least till the end of the season. The 27-year-old wanted an extension and sought a trade a couple of months ago. The Chargers didn't budge, and no one was aggressively pursuing him.

Nonetheless, he has proven to be a valuable asset with his skill and ability to change the game in one play. He wants his money, and that's no secret. NFL insider Tom Pelissero gave us a hint at Ekeler's new incentives, and it could mean a repeat of 2022 and possibly more.

Looking ahead to the 2023 season, Ekeler has the potential to replicate his impressive performance from the previous year, he possesses all the necessary tools to excel on the field. His versatility as a runner and a pass-catcher, combined with his elusiveness and speed, make him a threat to opposing defenses.

Austin Ekeler's immediate future remains with the Los Angeles Chargers, and beyond this season, that could be it. Ekeler wants his money, and he deserves it, but he could get that with another team if the Bolts let him walk. However, if he continues to impress, the Chargers could recognize his value and be willing to negotiate a contract that reflects his contributions.
