Chargers News: Baltimore TE Gearing Up For Expanded Role Vs Bolts
After a very frustrating loss to the Green Bay Packers last week, your Los Angeles Chargers now head home to take on the Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore comes in after dispatching the Cincinnati Bengals last week, and they are the top team in the AFC right now.
They play a very physical brand of football, and the Chargers are going to have their hands full with them. Unfortunately for the Ravens, they did lose their top tight end last week, Mark Andrews. He is now out for the season, but Baltimore has strong depth at the position.
With him out, the Ravens will be looking for a second-year tight end Isaiah Likely to step up in his absence. Likely has all the skills to be a real issue for the Chargers this weekend, and they will need to know where he is at all times.
"I feel like it's a blessing we have so many weapons on offense. That makes my job easier. Just stay the course, wait for the ball to come my way and make the most of the opportunity."

The Ravens love to use the tight end in their offensive attack, and Likely will see multiple targets in the game. The Chargers will need to do their best to contain former MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson in the pocket and force him to throw the ball.
When he gets loose in open space, bad things happen to opposing teams. It also helps set up the passing attack for Baltimore since defenses then have to watch for Jackson to potentially take off.
"I love Mark, it hurt me when he went down. Mark told me just stay the course, stay ready."

The Chargers will have their work cut out for them against Baltimore, on both sides of the ball. But if they come in prepared, they have the talent to steal this game and possibly save their season in the process.
