Chargers News: Bears CB Tyrique Stevenson Exits Field Vs Bolts

Chicago can't catch a break.

The Chicago Bears' injury woes continue apace tonight against your Los Angeles Chargers.

Per Courtney Cronin of ESPN, rookie cornerback Tyrique Stevenson departed SoFi Stadium with the Bears medical staff in tow. He was quickly replaced by Jaylon Jones, with the Chargers on the cusp of their second touchdown.

The 2-4 Bolts currently pace the 2-5 Bears, who are also missing their starting quarterback Justin Fields tonight, 14-0 at the end of the first frame.

Chicago selected the 6-foot, 214-pound Stevenson with the No. 56 pick out of Miami in the second round of this year's NFL draft.

Los Angeles is currently running roughshod all over Chicago. Cronin reports that the Bolts' offense is averaging a solid 7.7 yards per play en route to this massive edge over the Monsters of the Midway.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has connected on 11 straight completions for 120 yards, his second-most for a first quarter in his entire NFL career, and is credited with both the passes that yielded LA's two scores.

UPDATE:

Stevenson has returned to the field for Chicago. He has now registered six tackles tonight against the Bolts, for an otherwise-porous Chicago defense.
