Chargers News: Bears TE Upset Over Miserable SNF Showing Against Los Angeles

Chargers blew out the Bears on national TV.

When the Sunday Night Football schedule was released over the offseason, many people were picking Week Eight's Bears versus Chargers game to be intriguing.

After a disappointing start to the season for both teams, the hype wore off and not much was expected of the game.

The Chargers showed that they have the potential to be a great team as they blew out the Bears 30-13 and never kept the game close.

Following the game, Bears tight end Cole Kmet voiced his disappointment with his team's performance on the national broadcast.

“As a kid, these are the games you dream about playing in, nationally televised and all that stuff,” [Cole] Kmet said. “So when you have that type of performance out there, you’re definitely not too happy about it.”

Kmet was one of the Bears' best players despite the poor showing.

The third-year tight end finished the game with 10 receptions for 79 yards.

He was the leading receiver for the Bears, outpacing DJ Moore who only had four catches for 55 yards.

Unfortunately for Chicago, Kmet's performance was not enough as the Chargers held a 17-0 lead early in the game.

The Bears have had a rough start to the season as they have been one of the worst teams in the NFL.

The road for them does not get any easier as they have to play the Saints on the road next week who are looking to get over .500.
