Chargers News: Bolts Bring Back JK Scott On 2-Year Deal
After just one season with the Los Angeles Chargers, JK Scott will be suiting up in powder blue once again as LA has opted to run it back with him. He signed a 2-year deal with the front office after a couple days of negations.
The contract agreement will pay Scott up to $4 million and was first reported by NFL insider Adam Schefter.
"On a day of multiple punting moves, there’s another: punter JK Scott is returning to the Chargers on a 2 year, $4 million deal, per source."
(Per Adam Schefter)
Scott had a solid run with LA in 2022 and recorded 73 punts over his 17 games played. 28 of those punts landed within the opposing team's 20-yard line. For not having the most experience, LA believes he will continue to develop under their system and flourish once again.
Before his stint in LA that will now be extended, Scott played for the Green Bay Packers after they selected him in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft. He recorded 194 punts and 44.61 yards on each of those in his three seasons with them. After he was waived by the franchise in 2021, he played one game with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The reception to the re-signing of Scott on social has been overwhelmingly positive.
