The Los Angeles Chargers are expected to make some high-level cuts to become cap room compliant in the coming days. The cutoff is fast approaching, as on March 13 every team must be under the cap.

The team still has to clear about $20 million. They are likely to become compliant by cutting players like Mike Williams and trading Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, and more.

It would likely not be very difficult for Bosa and Mack to be moved, as both are still very productive. However, it appears that the Chargers may have a partner to trade Bosa to.

Longtime Chargers analyst Daniel Popper revealed that the San Francisco 49ers could be in the market for Bosa's services.

"I wouldn't rule it out. At the end of the day, Joey Bosa he's been pretty public about the fact that he's always wanted to play with his brother. Bosa has a base salary of $15 million this year, $17 million next year. I'm not super fluent in the Niners' cap situation, but that's what you would be taking on for you know, 24 and 25. So, we'll see. I think the Chargers should at least listen. And if they're listening then I think there are a number of places that makes sense for Joey Bosa."

The trade makes sense for monetary purposes and because Joey Bosa has mentioned before that he wishes to play with his brother, Nick, who happens to play for the 49ers.

Having both Bosa brothers would elevate the pass rush the 49ers already possess. The proposed deal would be predicated on SF having the right cap space. Still, this is a smart deal.

The Chargers need to clear cap space and they could trade Bosa to the 49ers to stack even more needed draft capital.
