The Los Angeles Chargers have one of the most ideal quarterback situations within the entire NFL. Justin Herbert is a superstar and even without playoff success under his belt just yet, he has already put forth historic production in his first three seasons of his career. It is clear that his 2023 campaign will either place him among the Patrick Mahomes' and the Joe Burrow's of the league or drop his stock completely depending on his numbers and wins.

But with Kellen Moore introducing a whole new offense to go with a bunch of Herbert's favorite passing options in Mike Williams, Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler all returning, he should have no issue compiling the best season of his young career yet. An MVP campaign should definitely be within his goals and the Bolts should be looking to take over the AFC West.

However, just like any other team, the Chargers have to prepare for the worst and have backup options in case their superstar gets hurt again. Herbert had to play through multiple injuries last year as did other key contributors.

Luckily for the Bolts, they have an excellent QB2 in Easton Stick. Chargers Wire's Gavin Borquez detailed what his contributions to the team have looked like thus far.

"The Chargers Stick, the 2019 fifth-round pick, agreed to a one-year deal to bring him back earlier this offseason. Even though Stick has never taken two snaps during the regular season which came in 2020, the coaches have praised his ability to run the practice scout team, and he has a close relationship with Herbert. Stick has played 10 preseason games, with 144 passes attempted."

And even after Stick, LA targeted one of the best QB's on the board in the 2023 draft with TCU's own Max Duggan who will have some of the best mentors in the game teaching him the ways.

"Los Angeles has carried three quarterbacks on the active roster in eight of the ten seasons that Tom Telesco has been the general manager, which is why I expect Duggan to make the 53-man roster.Stick will be the backup entering training camp and Duggan will push him for the spot, and he should add value as a scout team quarterback."

Training camp cannot come soon enough!
