About everyone in the NFL world is expecting Chargers QB, Justin Herbert, to have an MVP-caliber year, and that just seems to be a lot of pressure from the fifth-year QB.

But for Chargers Beat Reporter, Eric Smith, he believes some eyes should be laid on Chargers Backup QB, Easton Stick.

With the addition of Kellen Moore as the Bolts new Offensive Coordinator, there's no doubt that Herbert could be primed for his best season yet - but he's not the only Quarterback Moore is working with.

Not to be confused with the Hockey equipment, Easton Stick has been a fun player to watch over the last handful of years during preseason games, and can be seen as a fan-favorite during these trial runs.

Most importantly, the coaches have seen what he's made of as the 2019 fifth-round pick has impressed coaches and teammates behind the scenes over the past four seasons, including being a sounding board for Herbert in the meeting room and on the sidelines.

Stick's relationship with Herbert could play an instrumental part in Herbert's success with the Chargers this season, which is exactly why he has been brought back this offseason, and if you'd like, being the second-string for the first time in your career can be seen as a promotion.

Like we said, Herbert will do whatever he can to bring the Chargers closer to the Lombardi trophy, but just keep an eye on Easton Stick as we approach training camp - he can show how important it is to be a backup Quarterback in the NFL.
