Chargers News: Bolts Officially Sign 2022 Collegiate Sack Leader Before Training Camp

A nice move for LA!

The Los Angeles Chargers are entering an important year for the franchise. After making the playoffs a season ago, this team is now expected to make a deep playoff run. If they don't changes could be made and LA knows this. They have all the tools at their disposal to compete for a Super Bowl.

LA is loaded on both offense and defense and all players seem to be working towards the common goal. One massive part of this has been the work of the front office to put this team together. On Monday, LA officially signed all of their 2023 NFL Draft picks, giving them a full draft class signing before training camp.

This is big for LA as it now officially allows all players to come in and just work. Signing edge rusher Tuli Tuipulotu is huge for the Chargers defense as he should give them more versatility at the position.

Last season for USC, Tuipulotu put up 13.5 sacks and 46 tackles over 14 games played. He was dominant for the Trojans defense and his ability to get to the backfield and namely the quarterback was a huge reason as to why the Chargers were interested in drafting him in the second round.

Putting him next to Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack should give this Chargers defense some extra bounce and pop and make opposing offenses fearful every time out.

Signing the entire draft class may seem like a small thing or something that is seen as a forgone conclusion but it can be more than that. It shows that the team means business and is ready to get the season going.
