Another day, another new addition to Jim Harbaugh's bench.

A source informs Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that your Los Angeles Chargers have hired a fresh wide receivers coach in Sanjay Lal, who most recently served as the pass-game coordinator under Pete Carrol with the Seattle Seahawks, and has a good history with pro wideouts.

So far this year, new Los Angeles head coach Jim Harbaugh has been pretty thoroughly cleaning house, turning over much of ex-head coach Brandon Staley (and ex-interim head coach Giff Smith, you want to get technical)'s former staff in favor of his own personnel, which has been heavy on folks with ties to Harbaugh's tenure with the University of Michigan Wolverines and or his brother John's Baltimore Ravens.

Lal took a lengthy road to the NFL. He started off as a passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at Miramonte High School in Orinda, California from 1996-2002. He moved on to a stint as the wide receivers coach at Los Medanos College, and follow that up with more NCAA gigs at Saint Mary's and California before finally taking the pro leap.

Lal has worked with the Oakland Raiders, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, the aforementioned Seahawks, and the Jacksonville Jaguars in various offensive capacities.
