Chargers News: Bolts Target Free Agent RB Signs With Titans
The NFL negotiating period is off and running, and teams are quickly finding new players to add to their rosters. One team that is not wasting time is the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans started this negotiating period by signing Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard. Pollard will head to Tennesee as he signed a three-year, $24 million contract.
NFL Network's Ian Ian Rapoport reported.
The Chargers lost out on a potential Austin Ekeler replacement to the Titans. Pollard is coming off a productive season, though many believe that he underperformed.
He had 1,005 rushing yards on 252 carries, six rushing touchdowns, and an average of a career-low four yards per carry. He had 1316 total scrimmage yards and fumbled the ball three times, a career-high.
The Bolts will continue to seek the free agency market for a running back, and there is no lack of options. Guys like Josh Jacobs, Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, and Zach Moss, to name a few.
Things will heat up real soon.
