Chargers football is inching closer and closer, and it all started on Monday as the Bolts held the first of ten voluntary OTAs. The voluntary OTAs will be held over the next three weeks, and we couldn't be more excited to see who excels in these next coming weeks.

A ton of players were in attendance for the first day; only two non-injured players didn't attend: Austin Ekeler and Mike Williams. Ekeler for obvious reasons, but the team expects him to be back with the team soon. However, certain players didn't participate due to some injuries they're still rehabbing. Although players like Joshua Palmer, Corey Linsley, Deruis Davis, and others are rehabbing, head coach Brandon Staley assured us it's just precautionary and should be fine by training camp and beyond.

“Anybody that’s not out there, we’re trying to get these guys ready to play for training camp and the regular season. So if they’re not out there, it’s probably something minor in nature.”

LA suffered its fair share of injuries last season, and they don't want any of that to happen in 2023. Injuries occur at random; however, they can be prevented, and the Bolts are taking all the necessary steps to prevent them from happening.

It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to that, and the Chargers are doing just that. The Bolts have a very important season on their hands, with high expectations they have yet to have since coming to Los Angeles.

The Chargers' training camp will start on July 27 and run through mid-August. Although we're two months away, it will fly by fast, and we can't wait to see what this summer holds for the Bolts.

Charger football is approaching, and it should be a fun one.
