Chargers News: Brandon Staley Combative When Confronted With Blown Close Games
The Los Angeles Chargers dropped another close game on Sunday, this time to the Green Bay Packers by a score of 23-20. It was another missed opportunity for the Chargers to turn their season around, and a reminder of how far they have fallen.
Head coach Brandon Staley was combative after the game and even lashed out at the media members in his press conference. When asked a question that referenced the Bolts fan base, Staley answered fairly directly.
“I’m not here to talk for the fan base,” Staley said. “I’m here to talk to my players, the locker room. I know that we give ourselves a chance to win every single week with the game plans that we have."

The defense was a problem once again in this game, but Staley seemed to push back against that notion. He was very angry with the line of questioning coming his way, and you could tell that he was fed up.
“We have done it here. You guys act like we’ve never played good defense. That’s not the truth. That’s not the truth. You act like we haven’t made any improvements.”

Staley seemed like a coach who knows that the end is near for his job status, and he was taking it out on the media. He entered the season on the hot seat, and it has only gotten warmed with each passing game.
At times through his tenure in Los Angeles, Staley has seemed in over his head. It has caused many issues on the field with his decision-making and has led to multiple dropped games.
If the Bolts can't turn things around, Staley will be the first to go. The team will have to make some changes, and it all starts with him.
