Chargers News: Brandon Staley Is a Big Fan of His New OC
The Los Angeles boast some of the best offensive weapons in the league. Austin Ekeler is still a Charger for now and he's proven to be one of the top RB's in the league as he's developed into a rushing and catching threat. Few receivers around the NFL have the experience and success of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. And, of course, the man putting it all together at quarterback is Justin Herbert.
However, last year's playoffs proved that the Bolts need to be able to be more creative with their offensive schemes in order to compete with the best teams in the league. Herberts' greatness can only take them so far but this is where new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore comes into play.
Moore is coming off of multiple seasons with the Dallas Cowboys in which he helped them boast a top-10 offense and helped get the most out of the likes of an aging Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. It was clear that Dallas was looking to go in a different direction following some playoff failures and he found his way to LA.
But head coach Brandon Staley couldn't be happier to have him and he echoed those thoughts in his media session at the Bolts' first day of offseason workouts.
""Great to team up with him. So much respect from afar. Getting to work with him on a day-to-day basis, you're just able to improve a lot as a coach. I think we're able to make each other's game better. I know how much he's going to help our football team, not just our offense. It's been great to see how he sees the football game, what his plan of attack is, the vision he has for playing offensive football, and the all the experiences that he's had, both as a player and as a coach. I really respect those experiences."

It's great to see the belief that has been instilled in Moore already as he looks to help the Chargers improve in 2023.
