As the Los Angeles Chargers enter Week 3 of the new NFL season, history isn’t on their side. Starting 0-2 on the year really puts the Bolts at a disadvantage the rest of the way, especially in the loaded AFC Conference.

There haven’t been too many teams that have come back from starting the year 0-2 to reach the postseason, so the Chargers will have their work cut out for them. It was another heartbreaking loss for them against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, but head coach Brandon Staley is trying to remain optimistic going forward.

"We've got 15 games ahead of us," said Chargers Head Coach Brandon Staley. "We've lost two really tough games right there at the end — an overtime game and one that might as well have been an overtime game"

No matter how you break it down, the Chargers dropped both games to open the season. They made costly mistakes against the Titans, which cost them dearly. But luckily, it is still early, despite what the history books say.

"We're doing a lot of really good things out there," Staley added. "The mistakes that are being made out there, we can correct all of them."

If things don't improve from here, the organization will likely be forced to make drastic moves. We could easily see Staley get fired mid-season, which would signal that the team is lost. He was already on the hot seat entering the season, and now it's gotten even warmer for him.

But something needs to be done. They are way too talented of a squad to be in this position.

They will now be heading to Minnesota for Week 3 and will be taking on an equally desperate Vikings team. This is now a must-win game for the Bolts; otherwise, their season could slip away from them as fast as the year started.
