Chargers News: Brandon Staley Reveals LA's 2023 Secret to Success
The Los Angeles Chargers have been playing in the shadow of a couple of teams for the past few seasons and it's not entirely their fault. Obviously, the move to Los Angeles was for various reasons such as marketing and funding but the Rams were already there and they beat the Bolts to the punch with their 2020 Super Bowl.
But their future now is pretty uncertain as it's looking like they put all eggs in one basket for that championship. The real giant they'll have to stay has the AFC West in a chokehold right now and that is the Kansas City Chiefs who boast one of the most dynamic offenses we've seen in a while.
However, the Chargers' front office has not exactly been scrambling to improve their defense to shut down KC. Eric Kendricks will certainly help in that regard but his signing was anything league-altering. In an exclusive interview with ESPN's Lindsey Thiry, LA's head coach Brandon Staley revealed that they will be looking to record as many touchdowns as possible in 2023.
"It is always going to be a scoring league,” said Staley. “You got to score the ball. You're seeing some of the best quarterbacks that the league's ever seen and we're seeing some of the most prolific offenses that, especially in the passing game, that the NFL's seen. And so you got to be able to score the ball."

The hiring of Kellen Moore as the team's newest offensive coordinator already tease that the Chargers were looking to take their offense in a more electric direction and then you also have LA's own play-by-play announcer confirm that the front office is focused on that side of the field.
Keep an eye on the upcoming NFL draft as well where the Chargers will likely fulfill this plan.
