Your Los Angeles Chargers are back, ready to embark on a new season filled with tons of anticipation and excitement from the team and fanbase.

There is a sense of fresh air among the Chargers, and it is much needed after how the 2022 season ended. Everyone involved in the sports world knows how the Chargers' season ended, which will be part of their reputation for now. No one could've predicted it, but it is what it is, and they will do their best to rebound from it now.

It left a bad taste in everyone's mouth, especially Chargers head coach Brandon Staley. Pundits and experts questioned if Staley should still be the head coach of the Bolts. LA decided to stand pat, and Staley will enter his third season as the guy at the helm.

Part of Staley's job now is to make sure a collapse like that never happens again, and to make sure of it; he met with Golden State Warriors champion head coach Steve Kerr. Staley said he wanted to get perspective from a coach who faced a similar collapse in his career and get some wisdom from him as well.

“His perspective was really big for me because I hadn’t been through anything like that before,” Staley said. “I’ve always been attracted to how he thinks, how he leads. You gotta choose people you’re going to try to line up with. I wanted to make sure that I tried to engage as many people as possible who had been through something similar so that I could draw off their experience and apply it to our situation here. It was very helpful.”

Staley met with Kerr for two days during the Warriors' first-round matchup against the Sacramento Kings in the NBA playoffs.

No better man to go with than Kerr. He's still coaching and knows what it's like to lead a group of superstars.

The collapse of the Chargers and Warriors is etched in meme lore, but the Warriors were able to overcome that and still win and be great after that 2016 3-1 Finals collapse.

They chose not to let that eat up on them, and they did that as a team. The Chargers are now in the somewhat same position as the 2016 Warriors were in. They were embarrassed and are now a national joke; the only thing is, will the Chargers decide to step up to the plate or shy away from the challenge?

LA has all they need to do the job and silence the doubters and hecklers. They must learn from their experience; if they don't, then what was the meeting with Kerr and all the moves they made this past offseason for?

The time is now; no better teacher than experience. We'll see how the Chargers respond, and we won't need to wait any longer.
