Chargers News: Chargers' Head Coach Staley Raves About Unprecedented Preseason

In this story:
Entering the preseason, any NFL team just wants to fine-tune everything and prepare for the real games. If you’re able to come out with any wins, it can help boost morale across the locker room.
For the Los Angeles Chargers, as they get ready for the new season in a couple weeks, the preseason is just another reminder of the ultimate goal for themselves.
The team finished 2-1 in their three games, and head coach Brandon Staley couldn’t be more excited. Los Angeles finished everything with a quality road win over the San Francisco 49ers. Staley spoke about the way the team handled themselves throughout the exhibition games.
"This is the best preseason we've had since I've been the coach here," Staley said. "I think the feeling that we're able to get here in this game I think meant a lot to the guys. I think to win a game on the road against a quality team, a team that kind of started their starters in the game, I think that was a huge confidence boost for our guys.”

While most starters didn’t play much in the preseason, it still shows the overall culture that has been built in the organization. A team is only as strong as their next man up, and the Chargers showed that they have some depth on this roster.
"I think the way that they performed throughout training camp when they played against our 1s, that's how they played tonight and it meant a lot to the group that was out there on that field today and I thought it showed," Staley added. "I thought that we really played together as a team and did the things that you need to do to win."

If the Chargers can take something from these games, it will be teamwork. They will need to rely on each other as the season gets started to get where they want to go.
It’s a make-or-break year for the Bolts, so there is no time to waste. They are extremely talented from top to bottom and could find themselves being top contenders in the AFC this season.
