Chargers News: DL Morgan Fox Resigns With LA
The final roster for the Los Angeles Chargers this coming season continues to grow closer and closer to getting completed. Reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Morgan Fox will be running it back with LA after coming an agreement on a 2-year deal. The 28-year-old only needed one year with the squad to prove he was worth holding on to.
Fox's agent David Canter took to Twitter to celebrate the news.
Manning the interior, Fox enjoyed one of his best seasons suiting up for the Chargers at defensive end. He recorded 38 tackles along with 6.5 sacks which were career-highs for him in both categories. His presence was felt on that end of the ball and he truly embraced playing for the Bolts.
Prior to the Chargers, Fox played four seasons with the city rival Rams and one season with the Carolina Panthers. However, it is clear that the fans of LA have truly embraced after his 17 games last year and were calling for the front office to make him a priority these past few weeks.
Beyond just fans, Fox's private coach and trainer "Coach Ed" was very vocal all day prior to the contract agreement. He could not believe how long it was taking for his client to get offered the contract he believed he clearly deserved.
Even after Fox's deal was confirmed, it seemed like Coach Ed still wasn't satisfied. He continued to tweet multiple remarks hinting that he believed Fox should've been granted more money.
