The 2024 NFL draft should be instrumental for your Los Angeles Chargers' future. With a top-5 pick in a loaded draft class (especially on the offensive side of the ball), there are countless ways for the Bolts to put the perfect pieces around star quarterback Justin Herbert.

Matt Miller of ESPN recently published a mock draft that saw the Bolts add LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers and Texas A&M linebacker Edgerrin Cooper.

While he isn't the No. 1 WR in the draft (that title belongs to Marvin Harrison Jr.), Nabers could easily be the No. 1 in most other drafts, as his combination of explosiveness, elite hands, and ability to make catches in traffic make him one of the most unique prospects in recent memory.

As Heisman Trophy Winner Jayden Daniels' top target, Nabers recorded 89 catches for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns this past season.

Keenan Allen's age and Mike Williams' injury issues are both legitimate causes for concern going forward, making Nabers a no-brainer pick as it pertains to finding a long-term X-receiver for Justin Herbert.

In round 2, Miller has the Bolts taking Edgerrin Cooper, an inside linebacker from Texas A&M. While it isn't talked about as much as other positional voids, the Chargers have serious issues when it comes to defending the middle of the field, as linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. is set to hit free agency this offseason, and Eric Kendricks disappointed this past year, is aging, and may be cut this offseason to save salary cap space.

Per Miller, Cooper's speed, explosion, and coverage skills all stand out as drivers in his increasing draft value.

Generally, the Bolts have countless directions to go in, as it seems as though no matter who they select, the roster can only improve from this point on, especially given the overhaul of the coaching staff.
