The key for the Los Angeles Chargers in their 2023 season is to never get too comfortable. They will need to seek improvement every single week and get off to a strong start against some opponents that should not give them too much trouble.

And it all starts in the offseason. Even though some of their most important players were not present during the beginning of week two OTA's, Brandon Staley, Kellen Moore and the rest of the coaching have to make the most of who is there.

But are the Chargers done making moves before they get deep into the summer and prepare their final roster. They have some elite and experienced names in every facet of their group but there are some intriguing names still left on the free agent market. And no, it doesn't look like Kyle Van Noy will be returning.

Defense will be ultra-important for the Bolts in this new season as many teams will recognize all of the offensive talent they have been able to put together. With Justin Herbert having two healthy options in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams along with a returning Austin Ekeler, opposing teams will certainly look to outscore them each game.

And LA's defense will boast the likes of Khalil Mack and Eric Kendricks but could the bolts' front office look to make another huge addition on the line... maybe a veteran free agent in Frank Clark? Experts from NFL Trade Rumors certainly think so.

"I could easily see it. The Chargers are set with Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack as bookend edge rushers but the depth behind them is suspect even after using a second-round pick on DE Tuli Tuipolotu. Clark could be a force coming off the bench and help maximize both Bosa and Mack. It's hard in the NFL to have too many pass rushers, especially against some of the potent offenses and quarterbacks in the AFC right now. The Chargers have a little bit of cap space to work with right now before things get really tight in 2024, both with their current financial situation and the expected mega-deal for QB Justin Herbert. So that puts extra importance on maximizing the window they have in 2023."

This is yet another rumor to keep a close eye on.
